Hey y’all, I’m heeding !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and have initiated self lockdown protocol. Not leaving the house except for fresh air in the neighborhood and maybe a park for hopefully 3 weeks. I bought a shitload of shit from Saturday thru Tuesday and have a few remaining things that will be delivered soon. These brands of booze above are both good and cheap. That is all. In other stockpiling news:

I slightly prefer the silver Jimador to the normal, but you can’t go wrong with either.

I have some bottles of cask strength stuff which is nice because you can choose to either splash some water in it and make it stretch or drink it neat and only have to use a minimal amount. The problem is that while that’s great for the bourbon and American whiskey that I have, I’m running dangerously low on Scotch and what I have isn’t high proof.

The Luk vodka is pretty good for the price, hard to find any potato vodka that’s not premium priced (I am a big fan of the spud from Chopin, which I think they stopped producing ) . I picked up a few from Ireland on my last trip but haven’t had a chance to do a tasting yet.
My stash is posted further down.

Old railroad repair shop. “ Truck ” is what holds the wheels and axles under a train car, so I guess they used this cart for repairing those.
It is heavy and very thick gauge metal. I washed it, degreased it, and sprayed some clear coat over it and left it as is, with all the scratches and damage. I love it.

I remember when you could get Weller (and Elmer T Lee) all day every day for $28 and up. The Pappy craze killed that. How do you like the Makers Private S elect/small batch ? I just got a bottle of the Cask Strength.....my thoughts are mixed so far based on the price.

Weller is about double that now. Damn band wagoners. I don’t mind the Makers Private Select at all. But I have to be honest - I make a lot of cocktails and I’ve been burning though 100 proof Bottled in bond Evan Williams. Untouchable for the price.
